Anyone using an Intel DN2800MTmotherboard?

David Cameron - IRLP

I am looking for my next replacement for the LN10000EG motherboard.

It appears to have a lot going for it, including on-board power DC power supply, LPT connector, onboard sound, etc.

The only thing I will have to work on is getting the current IDE based flash devices to work via USB or SATA.

It is giving me some weird error about branches.... I just don't see this working as a good place to share the development.

I think it needs to be a little easier :)

settings
- It will have an ADMIN area that is password protected
- It will have a USER area that is also password protected, but only
allows access to certain limited features
- It will have an anonymous area where only public information is available

In the ADMIN area, there will be pages for:

1) Environment File flags - This will need to be kept up to date, and have
the ability to write to the filesystem
- Codec, features, etc
2) Audio level adjustment (audio tests, etc)
3) EchoIRLP configuration (if installed)
4) Troubleshooting Script output
5) Modification of custom DTMF tones
6) Crontab (scheduler) interface
7) Status Page information update
8) MAYBE - IP configuration?
9) IRLP Repeater configuration
10) User control

In the USER area, there will be pages for:

1) Node history (log files, last calls)
2) General monitoring of node, including connect/disconnect buttons, DTMF
entry (like current web admin)
3) Control of nodes/reflectors in the lockout list
4) The ability to upload MP3/Wav files for playing over the air

In the anonymous area, we can have just read only info, about the current
connection, a map of the current call, etc.

One thing the system should contain is an easy way for "plugins" to be
added. For example, if an additional script is added
by a third party, the ability to have the menu be alphabetically
dynamically generated by a series of scripts. In other words
there will be a single php file for each "page" and the menu system will
read which pages are there, and generate the menu
accordingly.

Directory Tree
- index.html - will contain the anonymous page, with a login button
- .htaccess
--ADMIN
- .htaccess
- menu.php
- Environment File.php
- Audio Level Adjustment.php
- EchoIRLP Configuration.php
- Troubleshooting.php
- Third Party Script.php

All of the information is available on the node, and the secure tool to

So using that as a start (IRLP Web Admin), we should be able to make an

access for from a web console.

This would include (and not limited to):

Changes to the environment file (already doable with IRLP Web Admin)
Changes to flags like timeout, etc (doable in IWA)
Troubleshooting script
Active monitor of input port (tricky, as it is live)
Audio level adjustment (already have a prototype for this)
Updating the status page
Uploading Audio files (ID files)

I would prefer if it used PHP/Apache, as this is already available on
all IRLP nodes.

Any takers? Who is interested in contributing?

Russ,
Change the first part of the "speaktime" script from:

#!/bin/sh

to:

#!/bin/bash

I got it working on a Debian node on the transmitter here in Anchorage.
The problem is with the interpreter, so make it use BASH specifically. I
don't recall if I had to modify anything else, so if you run into more
problems email me or post it here.

All of the information is available on the node, and the secure tool to read/write between the web server and the filesystem is already in place (it is used by the IRLP Web Admin).

So using that as a start (IRLP Web Admin), we should be able to make an interface that will allow the user to do most things they would need SSH access for from a web console.

I would prefer if it used PHP/Apache, as this is already available on all IRLP nodes.

Any takers? Who is interested in contributing?
Any objections to a javascript requirement?

Since we have had little luck in getting the IRLPvCON software updated to work with Debian, why don't we (as a group) design and build an open source one that will work with ALL irlp nodes (Debian, embedded, CentOS, older Fedora, etc).
