Honestly, you would probably have trouble finding anything that small. I think mine is less than 4 gig.

I would go no lower than 8gb. I have been using 16gb ide, usata, and sd cards in embedded nodes for a while now.

I've used slightly more than 2GB out of a 16GB drive on my PiRLP node, but that's including a bunch of backups and stuff.

... And yeah where the heck are you going to find a drive that small anyway? Smallest sdcard I can find is 16GB for less than the price of a cup of coffee   :-)

... and just realised I can double it to 32GB for only a dollar more - $6.88CAD = $5.13USD...

... or 64GB for 7.88CAD = $5.90USD - What was the question again? :-D

Im using a Neoware thin client and I use a 44 pin ide ssd. It plugs directly onto the header.
I shopped around on line and picked up a 8gig and 16 gig on ebay. Had local ham find a 4gig in his junk box that he donated to the project. That is the present running unit.
Presently have the 8gig loaded and tested as a emergency spare and a 8 gig bootable usb stick as well as last resort.

Paul, be careful which usb port you use to acquire 5V from.
Some of those thin clients have a mix of usb-2 and usb-3.
When shopping for a new DOM, note how the 44 pins of the socket is orientated.
You will find some cards with the pins reversed.
You're looking for a 44 pin IDE DOM
DOM = Disc on module
